Ian began his audit career at Ernst & Young Malaysia. Prior to joining SBY Partners PLT, he gained extensive experience in financial due diligence and share valuation during his tenure in the advisory division of a mid-sized firm. In addition to his audit responsibilities, he served as Head of Technical and Firm Inspection Leader in his previous firm.
He has extensive audit experience with a diverse range of clients, from publicly listed entities to small and medium-sized enterprises across various industries, including software development, shipping, retail, trading, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, construction, and property development.
Apart from his audit work, Ian has participated in special engagements, including supporting a Malaysia-based client with an Initial Public Offering (“IPO”) on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Exchange and other assurance engagements.
