Wong holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Malaya and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and an ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant (ASEAN CPA). She is also a licensed tax agent, an HRDF-certified trainer, and has attained JLPT N2 certification (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), reflecting her commitment to continuous development and cross-cultural competence.
Since starting her career in the audit profession in 2009, Wong has gained extensive experience in statutory financial audits, agreed-upon procedures, due diligence, limited reviews, corporate tax advisory, and GST implementation. In 2024, she further expanded her expertise to include E-invoice system implementation, by supporting clients in adapting to the latest regulatory changes in electronic invoicing.
Her audit and advisory work spans a diverse range of industries, including construction, property development, and manufacturing, equipping her with insights into industry-specific challenges and compliance requirements. Wong has also engaged with the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) to resolve GST-related issues and guided clients in strengthening their tax governance and reporting processes.
