Benson started his auditing career as an audit assistant and grew to become an Audit Manager over a span of 7 years in few reputable accounting firms, including big four.
He has extensive audit experience for both private and public listed companies, businesses include trading, manufacturing, property development & construction, agriculture, hotel & leisure, food & beverages, transport, education, retails and more. Besides statutory audits, he was also involved in consultation and provision of technical support to the auditors, firms audit policies implementation, internal quality control review, planning and conduct of internal training, and act as the liaison to the regulators and authorities, including Audit Oversight Board (AOB).
Benson is a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
